Laser fungal removal

4/11/2017 Gift giver

How many sessions will the Groupon cover and what are your hours of operation

Hi gift giver First we need to confirm your fungal nail infection by sending a sample to be cultured. Then we go over all the options you have for fungal treatments. A lot of times if it's just one toe nail and it's fairly new, we try to treat it by topical antifungals. If the fungal infection is very severe and involves more than 2-3 toes per foot, most likely the laser by itself won't work. We usually recommend combination therapies such as topical and laser or topical and pill. We usually see better result after performing minimum of three laser treatments. Apparently, the fungal spores survive 180 degree of the heat and they can grow and reinfect the nail. For that purpose, we can not guarantee one session of laser can eradicate all the infection. Our Groupon only covers laser treatment of one session. But we give you discounted packages with free consultation once you make appointment with us.

Fungal Infection

5/22/2015 Laguna Girl

I have discolored toe nails. I am not sure if it is due to trauma or a fungal infection. What can I do?

The best thing to do is come in to the office and get a nail biopsy to see if there are any signs of fungal growth. If fungal infection is the issue you we can schedule a laser fungal consultation or you can try topical or oral medications.

Ganglion cyst

9/25/2014 Angie

I have a ganglion cyst that needs surgery, do you have an in office surgical procedure? I'm not insured and need to find an inexpensive medical office that can help me. Can you guesstimate a price druing consultation?

Dear Angie A lot of times, Gamglion cysts don't have to be removed. Depending on the size and their location, we decide on removing it surgically. Sometimes, we can try to aspirate the fluid with large syringe. I think the best way to discuss your treatment options is to make appointment with us. Our consultation is $100 for cash patients. If you need procedures, we can give you more discounts. Feel free to call us or make appointment on line. Good luck Dr Roohian
